This issue is part of the Marvel-wide "Acts of Vengeance" crossover event. In this issue, Doctor Doom uses a device called the "Aggression Enhancer" to provoke numerous villains to attack the Fantastic Four. Some attacks by seemingly random villains in previous issues were apparently also provoked by the Aggression Enhancer.
