Comics.org identifies "The Gaff" (e.g., Sydney E. Levine, a.k.a. "The Gaffer") as a character who appears in this issue, but we believe this is a mis-identification of either Dr. Ryder (who looks quite similar to Levine, but is clearly identified by name in this issue) or Jasper Sitwell, who also wears glasses, but is clearly younger, taller, has more hair, and is quite physically fit. Also, the younger bespectacled character goes out in the field as a combat-ready agent, which is something Levine does not do.
