Ares is the Greco-Roman god of war. Ares is a prominent character in both the Marvel and DC universes. We have combined the records for Ares in both universes here.

In DC Comics, Ares is a mentor to Wonder Girl (Cassie Sandsmark). He has been a frequent enemy of Wonder Woman and has recently taken to calling himself the "god of conflict," in recognition of the fact that general conflict is more commonplace in today's world than all-out war.
